Dermal skin tags, also known as acrochordon, are small, benign, non-cancerous skin growths that typically appear as soft, fleshy bumps. They can occur anywhere on the body, but are most common on the neck, armpits, groin, and eyelids. Skin tags are typically harmless and do not require treatment. However, if they become irritating or aesthetically bothersome, they can be removed using various methods.
Removals & Pruning
At The Lark, our Dermatology-trained Provider will first examine the skin tag(s) to confirm they are benign. Single skin tag removals are performed using simple snip excisions, with your health and safety as our top priority. After the initial evaluation of the lesion(s), local anesthesia is administered to ensure a pain-free procedure. The treated area will heal easily over 10-14 days.
